Galacticraft requires either Basic Components, IndustrialCraft 2 or Thermal Expansion. Basic Components is included in the mod, but if you want one of the other dependencies, you will have to download and install them separately.

You will also need to download:

  1. Now drag the Forge class files into your minecraft.jar.
  2. Drop the Galacticraft jar file into your mods folder. Note, this is the coremods folder if you're using Minecraft 1.5.2 or earlier.
  3. If you are using Minecraft 1.6.1 or later, you also need to drop the MicdoodleCore jar into the mods folder.
  4. If you decided on Basic Components, click the "Load Basic Components" button when it appears after launching Minecraft.
  5. You're done!

Once you have all of these mod installed and your Minecraft loads up and doesn't crash, you may start your adventure to space!

Read on with the Galacticraft Getting Started Guide to get you started with all the basics.
