Galacticraft is best when either Basic Components, IndustrialCraft 2 or Thermal Expansion are installed as well (optional).

Use a modpack (automatic installation)
If you do not wish to go through the trouble of manually installing Galacticraft, we recommend you play the GigaTech mod pack, which features Galacticraft, Industrial Craft, Thaumcraft 4, Thermal Expansion and many more mods! (Over 100 mods included).
Manual Installation
You will also need to download:
- Forge Recommended Build
- Galacticraft
- MicdoodleCore (1.6.1 or later)
For Minecraft 1.5.2 or earlier:
- Install Forge (Drag the Forge class files into your
minecraft.jar
). - Drop the Galacticraft jar file into your
coremods
folder. - If you decided on Basic Components, click the "Load Basic Components" button when it appears after launching Minecraft.
- You're done!
For Minecraft 1.6.1 or later:
- Install Forge in Minecraft (
minecraft.jar
don't exist more! Use the Official installer!). - Make a profile to Modded Minecraft!
- Drop the Galacticraft jar file into your
mods
folder in.minecraft
or a costumized directory. Note, thecoremods
folder doesn't exist if you're using Minecraft 1.6.1 or earlier. - Drop the MicdoodleCore jar into the
mods
folder. - If you decided on Basic Components, click the "Load Basic Components" button when it appears after launching Minecraft.
- You're done!
For Non-English: If you use a different language in Minecraft that is not English, Galacticraft will not show the Texts and can crash when you go to Moon/Mars/Space Station.
Moving On
Once you have all of these mod installed and your Minecraft loads up and doesn't crash, you may start your adventure to space!
